DevHandoff Privacy Policy

Overview

DevHandoff is a Chrome extension that turns AI coding conversations into developer handoff Markdown. Handoff generation runs locally in your browser.

Data Collected

DevHandoff does not collect personal information on a remote server. The extension reads supported AI chat pages only when you choose to generate a handoff.

Data Transmission

DevHandoff does not send chat content, generated handoffs, browsing history, settings, or local history to a DevHandoff server.

If paid unlock verification is used, DevHandoff may contact Lemon Squeezy's License API to activate a license key entered by the user. Conversation text and generated handoffs are not included in license activation requests.

Local Storage

If local history is enabled, recent generated handoffs are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device. DevHandoff may also store local feature-unlock state and license activation details in Chrome extension storage.

Permissions

DevHandoff requests access to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini pages so it can read the current conversation when you generate a handoff. DevHandoff also requests extension permissions needed to copy Markdown, export files, and store local history or unlock state.

User Control

You can remove locally stored extension data through Chrome extension storage controls or by removing the extension.
